2012 Registration is open!

 

Registration is now open for the following Sunnyvale Metro Little League baseball divisions: T-Ball, Pioneer, and Farm.

 

Please register as soon as possible so we can ensure the right number of teams, managers, coaches and volunteers needed for the upcoming season. 

 

Mark your calendar:

• Opening Day is Saturday, March 17, 2012
• Closing Day is Saturday, June 9, 2012

Volunteering:
Sunnyvale Metro Little League is an entirely volunteer-run organization.  All families are asked to volunteer at both the league and team levels.  At least one parent from each family will be asked to choose a league volunteer job at registration.  (See this document for league volunteer job descriptions.)  Team volunteer jobs will be determined later by your player’s Team Manager.

Registration Deadlines

The registration deadline for Major and Minor divisions is Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 12pm (noon), as players must participate in mandatory tryouts prior to the player draft.  Registration deadline for T-ball, Pioneer, and Farm divisions is February 29, but we encourage you to register in advance of that date so that your player does not miss any practices.

If you were unable to register your child prior to the deadline, please contact the league for assistance. We will always try to accommodate new T-ball players, even after Opening Day. Pioneer and Farm divisions may also have space available.  Email us at registrar@sunnyvalemetro.org to find out about late registration!

How to Sign Up:
Step 1) Check our Boundary Map to make sure you live within our league boundaries, and select the appropriate Level of Play for your child.  See also our flowchart which guides you by age and playing experience.

Step 2) Register:

• Register online (click here to register online at Active.com, and pay by credit card) or
• Register in person (download hardcopy form here and complete - pay with check made out to "SMLL")

Step 3) Come to a Document Verification & Walk-In Registration Event:
All new and returning players must provide proof of their age and residency with 1 original birth certificate (click here for proof of age requirements) and 3 proofs of address (click here for residency eligibility requirements).

• Thursday, December 8, 2011, 6-8pm at Raynor Park Building; OR
• Thursday, January 5, 2012, 6-8pm at Raynor Park Building; OR
• Saturday, January 7, 2012, 10am-1pm at Panama Park Building; OR
• Wednesday, February 1, 2012, 7-7:30pm at Raynor Park Building; OR
• Wednesday, March 7, 2012, 7-7:30pm at Raynor Park Building

Step 4) Attend Player Evaluations at Panama Park:

All players league age 9 and older (age on April 30, 2012) are required to attend a player evaluation.  Also, 8-year-olds who played in the Farm division last year must attend a player evaluation.  See the registration flier for specific player evaluation times by age and last name.

• Saturday, January 7, 2012; OR
• Make ups: Saturday, January 21, 2012 [moved to All-Star Academy, 2901 Mead Ave., Santa Clara.   All players must arrive by 12:00 noon.]
